A 16-hectare pocket of grassland and indigenous trees tucked into the suburb of Rooihuiskraal North in Centurion, run as a volunteer-supported nature area with a roughly 2 km interpretive trail and a bird hide. Guinea fowl, hoopoes and robin-chats are common sightings, with mongooses, hares and the occasional buck seen along the paths. Entry is free and the gates are open daily from 07:00 to 15:00, with shaded parking, picnic tables and toilets near the entrance. Dogs are welcome on a leash, and owners are asked to pick up after them.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are welcome but must stay on a leash at all times. Owners must clean up after their dogs using the bins provided; no open fires and no interfering with wildlife.
