Cradle Moon is a lakeside game lodge in the Cradle Moon Conservancy between Johannesburg and Pretoria, built around a 32-hectare lake that is home to a resident hippo pod. Guests can canoe, fly fish, mountain bike or hike through the conservancy, stay in simple rondawels, and eat at the on-site restaurant and bar. A R50 conservancy fee applies per visitor, and the lodge states that pets are not allowed on the property.
