Glentana is a Blue Flag beach on the Garden Route, near Great Brak River on the boundary between George and Mossel Bay. It holds full Blue Flag certification each summer (1 December to 28 February), meeting strict standards for water quality, safety and facilities, and draws swimmers and families to its clean, well-maintained shoreline. Dogs are not permitted while the flag is flying; leashed dogs are generally allowed on Mossel Bay's beaches outside that season.
Note from SitnStay: Full Blue Flag status runs 1 December to 28 February, and dogs are not allowed on the beach during that period. Outside the Blue Flag season, Mossel Bay's general leashed-dog by-law applies to non-Blue-Flag beaches.
