Haweqwa is a CapeNature reserve near Franschhoek in the Western Cape, known for hiking trails through mountains, rocky valleys and rivers leading to dramatic waterfalls. Visitors come for day walks and picnics rather than swimming, since it has no beach or bathing area on site. CapeNature applies a reserve-wide rule barring dogs and other pets unless a reserve manager grants prior written consent.
