Knysna Elephant Park is a rescue and care facility for orphaned African elephants, home to a herd of five and run without enclosing fences between visitors and animals. Guided Meet the Herd experiences run daily from 9am to 4pm, with early and late slots by reservation, alongside a restaurant, curio shop and the four-star Elephant Nature Lodge for overnight stays. Because visits involve close, unfenced contact with elephants, dogs are not permitted on site.
