Also known locally as Bakoven Beach, this small cove sits below a row of heritage-listed bungalows in the Bakoven suburb near Camps Bay. A short stairway leads down to boulder-sheltered sand and a shallow, wind-protected pocket of water better suited to swimming than surfing. It is quieter than its Clifton and Camps Bay neighbours, favoured by locals over tourists, and is home to the oldest National Sea Rescue Institute station in South Africa, established in 1967. Entry is free and toilets are on site.
