Kabeljous Beach lies at the mouth of the Kabeljous River, north of Jeffreys Bay, bordering the Kabeljous Nature Reserve's 2.5km stretch of dune thickets, coastal forest and wetland. The reserve side has three-to-seven kilometre hiking trails through terrain sheltering bushbuck, duiker, grysbok and around 100 bird species, with a picnic area at the estuary. The open beach itself offers a quieter alternative to the main Jeffreys Bay strand, away from the surf crowds further south.
