Nightjar Cottage

Nightjar Cottage in the picturesque Mpumalanga province, sleeps two people in a unique dome-shaped bedroom at an intimate escape tucked away at the base of a koppie outside Machadodorp. Guests feel nestled in the bush while also enjoying long distance views of the mountains. 

The cottage has a small, fully-equipped kitchen and indoor living area with an open fireplace for those cold evenings or rainy summer days. There is a covered stoep and deck with a KolKol wood-fired hot tub, to soak up the stars in the evening or use as a plunge pool when it’s warm.

The interior is thoughtfully designed to offer homely comforts and beyond there are numerous opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities with your four-legged family members. From hiking the picturesque countryside to enjoying refreshing swims in nearby rivers, or simply relaxing on the porch, you can easily immerse yourself in the tranquillity of this quint essential rural South African.  

There is a communal Wifi area between the cottages that all guests are welcome to use. Please note the connection is via satellite and can fluctuate from time to time.
