No enclosed outdoor space — keep recall-shaky dogs on a lead.
A 257-hectare private reserve in an enclosed mountain valley beside the N4 near Waterval Onder, roughly 270 km east of Johannesburg. Guests choose between self-catering cottages with fireplaces and braais, a glamping safari tent, and riverside or hillside campsites with power and shared ablutions. A restaurant and bar, swimming pool, WiFi and a network of hiking and mountain-bike trails are on site, with bushbuck, baboons and black eagles resident in the valley. The owners run it as a pet-friendly destination and welcome dogs in the accommodation and on the trails.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are welcome at the cottages, glamping tent and campsites; the reserve describes itself as pet-friendly with space for dogs to roam. Third-party listings note pets are by arrangement, so mention your dog when booking. Wildlife including baboons is present on the property.
