No enclosed outdoor space — keep recall-shaky dogs on a lead.
Dogs can't come inside.
Golden-sand beach in Plettenberg Bay's Robberg Beach stretch, tucked between Beacon Isle and the Robberg Nature Reserve. Backed by natural dunes and reached along the coastal path from Robberg 5 Beach, it is quieter and less developed than the town's central beaches, with no restaurants or cafes on site. Local welfare group PAWS lists it inside the leashed-dog zone of Plett's beach rules, so dogs are welcome on lead rather than running free.
Note from SitnStay: PAWS (Plett Animal Welfare Service) publishes zone rules for the Robberg-area beaches: the stretch from Robberg 5 Beach to Sanctuary Beach is an orange, leashed-dogs-only zone, distinct from the no-dogs red zone nearer Beacon Isle Resort. Garden Route travel guides likewise note dogs are welcome on Plett beaches including Sanctuary Beach but must stay leashed, especially in peak season.
