Trafalgar Beach is a Blue Flag beach on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, in the small seaside village of Trafalgar between San Lameer and Palm Beach. Lifeguards patrol the swimming area and shark nets are in place, with warm water that draws surfers and snorkellers exploring nearby fossil beds estimated at more than 90 million years old. The beach is open around the clock and free to visit, run by Ray Nkonyeni Municipality.
