Set on 22 hectares in Muldersdrift, minutes from the Cradle of Humankind, this purpose-built dog park lets dogs roam off leash across trails, lawns and two large dams made for swimming. Owners get picnic and braai spots, a kids' playground and the dog-friendly Dog Box Grill restaurant, while nervous dogs can use the private Barking Plot play area. Entry costs R55 per adult and R40 for children and pensioners, and dogs must be vaccinated and well socialised.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs run off leash throughout the park, including two swimming dams. Vaccinations must be up to date and dogs should be well socialised; a private play area (The Barking Plot) caters for nervous dogs. On-site boarding kennels are also offered.
