Reached via an eight-kilometre trail through the Garden Route Botanical Garden, this waterfall sits in the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains outside George. The winding path passes wildflowers, fungi and birdlife before ending at a lily pond near the falls, a popular picnic stop. The Garden charges a small entrance fee and keeps gates open from 7:30am to 5:30pm daily. Dogs must stay leashed within the grounds, with off-lead time limited to one designated area.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs must be kept on a leash within the Garden Route Botanical Garden grounds (through which the waterfall trail runs), with off-leash time permitted only in one designated area; owners must clean up after their dogs.
