No enclosed outdoor space — keep recall-shaky dogs on a lead.
Dogs can't come inside.
A tannin-stained swimming spot on the Swart River in the forested hills above George, named for the cola colour of its pools. The classic approach from the Garden Route Botanical Garden on Caledon Street is an 11.5 km out-and-back along an old railway line and plantation track, with about 270 m of climbing and no route markers; a shorter walk starts from the Nelson Mandela University campus. There is no entry fee and no toilets at the pools. Dogs are welcome on a lead.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are allowed on the trail and at the pools but must be kept on a lead. Owners must clean up after their dogs. The 6 km Garden Route Dam approach is long for small dogs.
