On Pretoria's eastern edge along January Masilela Drive, this City of Tshwane reserve protects a stretch of indigenous veld crossed by walking trails, with picnic spots and native flora and fauna along the way. Gates are open daily from 06:00 to 18:00 and a small entrance fee applies. Dogs are part of the culture here, but strictly on leash and only with a valid Tshwane dog permit, capped at two dogs per person, so sort the paperwork before you go.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are allowed on leash only and require a valid City of Tshwane dog permit (around R151 per person, maximum two dogs). Standard entrance fees apply on top of the permit.
