Residents use it for dog walks along the stream, birdwatching and wetland spotting, with access from Lola Avenue between 06:00 and 18:00. Friends of Serene Valley, a WESSA-affiliated volunteer group, clears alien vegetation, tags and plants trees and monitors the wetland, and the valley is listed among Tshwane's pet-friendly walks.
