Free State National Botanical Garden

The Free State National Botanical Garden sits in a valley between dolerite koppies on the edge of Bloemfontein, protecting natural grassland and woodland with old wild olive and karee trees. Themed sections include a Waterwise Garden, Medicinal Garden, Succulent Garden, Fragrance Garden and a bird hide, alongside hiking trails, guided tours, a restaurant, an education centre and a lapa for events. It is run by SANBI as part of South Africa's network of national botanical gardens.
