No enclosed outdoor space — keep recall-shaky dogs on a lead.
Dogs can't come inside.
A flat, sandy stretch on the False Bay side of Simon's Town, running beside Main Road and a short walk from the railway station and village shops. The City of Cape Town lists it as a free-running dog beach, so dogs may be off lead here, and there are public toilets and parking close by. Swimming is only advised where and when lifeguards are on duty; the beach is also used for diving, snorkelling and fishing. Weekends draw local families and plenty of dog walkers.
Note from SitnStay: Designated by the City of Cape Town as a beach where dogs may run off lead. No horses are permitted. Owners remain responsible for keeping dogs under control and cleaning up.
