No enclosed outdoor space — keep recall-shaky dogs on a lead.
Dogs can't come inside.
A small, sheltered stretch of sand at St James, tucked between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay on Cape Town's False Bay coast. Despite the ominous name, this beach has a relaxed, local feel, reached down steps near the St James train station with street parking along Main Road. False Bay's warmer, calmer water makes swimming easier here than on the Atlantic side. Dogs are allowed off-leash year-round, though not in the adjacent St James tidal pool.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are permitted off-leash on Danger Beach year-round with no seasonal restriction, but are not allowed in or around the adjacent St James tidal pool.
