No enclosed outdoor space — keep recall-shaky dogs on a lead.
Dogs can't come inside.
A small municipal beach tucked inside the Kalk Bay harbour precinct on the False Bay coast, where families swim in a tidal pool and locals walk their dogs along the sand. Parking, toilets, disability access and shark-spotting flags are all on site, and the surrounding fishing village adds restaurants, antique shops and galleries within a short stroll. Dogs must stay on a lead, and are barred from the beach in summer between 10:00 and 18:00.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are allowed on a lead at Kalk Bay Beach year-round, but are not permitted on the sand from December to March between 10:00 and 18:00, per the City of Cape Town's beach by-law.
