Noordhoek Beach stretches more than eight kilometres along the Atlantic side of Cape Town's southern peninsula, bordered by wetlands and a tidal lagoon that draws flamingos and oyster catchers. It is one of the last wide, undeveloped beaches in the city, with dunes popular with dogs and children, and horses regularly ridden along the sand, including guided rides. Sunset views over the ocean are a highlight, and nearby Noordhoek Farm Village adds shops and eateries.
