A secluded Blue Flag cove at the foot of one of Cape Town's most affluent suburbs, Llandudno Beach is ringed by natural bush and milkwood forest with Judas Peak and Klein Leeukoppie rising on either side. Granite boulders and sea caves flank the sand, including a Khoisan shell midden near Logies Bay excavated in 1953. Vendors sell snacks during busy periods, and the volunteer Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club is on duty daily through the Blue Flag season. Dogs may run off-leash outside 09:00 to 18:00 between November and March.
Note from SitnStay: City of Cape Town: no dogs 09:00-18:00 from November to March; dogs may run free at all other times.
