No enclosed outdoor space — keep recall-shaky dogs on a lead.
Dogs can't come inside.
One of Johannesburg's oldest public parks, laid out in 1912 on the corner of Empire Road and Victoria Avenue in Parktown, between Hillbrow and the Wits campus. It is an open, unfenced green space with mature trees, lawns, paths and a timber outdoor gym, and is open daily from 6am to 7pm. Residents and a Friends group have campaigned for years over neglect, illegal structures and safety, so plan daytime visits only. There is no dedicated parking and no confirmed dog policy for the park.
