End Street North Park

This small inner-city park sits between Hillbrow and Joubert Park in Johannesburg's Doornfontein area. Long troubled by illegal dumping and unsafe for children to use, it was rebuilt between 2014 and 2015 through a collaboration between Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, a German development agency, local universities, and community members, then reopened as a case-study model for reclaiming neglected urban green space. A resident park committee still helps manage it today. No pet policy is publicly confirmed.
