Second Beach in Dana Bay is one stretch of a longer beach corridor on the Mossel Bay coast, running toward Third Beach near the Blinde River mouth. It is a quieter, more residential alternative to the town's Blue Flag beaches, with soft sand and a laid-back local feel. Under the municipal by-law on the seashore, dogs are permitted here on a leash and under the owner's control, making it one of the area's designated dog-walking beaches.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs allowed on leash between First and Second Beach in Dana Bay under the Mossel Bay by-law relating to control of the seashore; owners must keep dogs under strict control at all times, with tighter time restrictions during the December-January festive season.
