A quiet stretch of sand along Mossel Bay's Garden Route coastline, a short drive from the town centre. The shoreline is calm and shallow, favoured for swimming and sunbathing rather than surfing, with a relaxed, mostly local crowd. Like most Mossel Bay beaches outside the Blue Flag zones, dogs are generally permitted on a leash, though summer holiday hours (1 December to 31 January) restrict beach dog-walking to early morning and evening.
Note from SitnStay: Not a Blue Flag beach, so leashed dogs are generally permitted under Mossel Bay's municipal seashore by-law; from 1 December to 31 January dog-walking on beaches is limited to 05:00-08:00 and 18:00-20:00, and owners must clean up after their dogs.
