Santosstrand, also known as Santos Beach, is Mossel Bay's main Blue Flag beach on the Garden Route coast, backed by the town's dive school and the Santos Express train hostel. The wide, sheltered stretch of the bay draws swimmers, families and holidaymakers for calm water and easy access. Dogs are welcome outside the Blue Flag season, though summer holiday hours bring restrictions to protect swimmers and blue flag status.
Note from SitnStay: As a Blue Flag beach, dogs are not allowed here from 1 December to 31 January except during early morning (05:00-08:00) and evening (18:00-20:00) walking windows; dogs must stay leashed and owners must clean up after them per Mossel Bay Municipality by-laws.
