Pansy Beach, also called Dias or Diaz Beach, sits along the Mossel Bay coastline in the Western Cape, known locally for the pansy shells that wash up on its sand. Unlike the town's Blue Flag beaches, it is not subject to the December-January seasonal dog restriction, making it one of the go-to alternatives for dog owners in the area. Leashes and cleaning up after pets are required under municipal by-laws.
Note from SitnStay: Not a Blue Flag beach, so it is used year-round as one of Mossel Bay's alternative dog-walking beaches (alongside Hartenbos and Little Brak River); dogs must be leashed and owners must clean up after them per municipal by-law.
