Lookout Beach is one of Plettenberg Bay's main stretches of sand, running beneath the town toward the Keurbooms River mouth, with The Lookout restaurant perched on the rocks above. It's a popular spot for swimming, walking and watching the surf roll into the bay. Dogs are welcome, though during the December-January peak season they generally need to be leashed and kept to certain times to protect the beach for other visitors.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are welcome on Lookout Beach outside peak season; leash and time restrictions typically apply during the December-January holiday period, per local visitor guides.
