Tokai Lower Plantation

Lower Tokai is the accessible, plantation half of Tokai Park in Cape Town's southern suburbs, part of Table Mountain National Park. Once a pine forest, it is gradually being restored to Cape Flats Sand Fynbos while keeping a network of gravel paths and boardwalks open to visitors. It sees steady daily use from dog-walkers, joggers, cyclists and horse-riders, with framed views toward Elephant's Eye cave. The adjoining core fynbos conservation section nearby sees far less foot traffic.
