Gearing's Point

A rocky viewpoint along Hermanus's cliff path beside the Old Harbour, counted among the town's best-known landmarks. Hermanus itself is known internationally for shore-based whale watching, with Southern Right whales visible offshore roughly from June through December, and this point along the coastal walk is one of the spots where visitors gather for a look. The Old Harbour Museum and the Rotary Way trail are both a short stroll away.
