The uMhlanga Lighthouse is a 21-metre round concrete tower, white below and red above, standing at the southern end of Umhlanga Rocks Beach in KwaZulu-Natal. Completed in 1954, it's one of the area's most photographed landmarks, next to a Blue Flag beach known for safe swimming and surfing, with the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve nearby. It functions mainly as a viewpoint and photo stop rather than a venue with its own facilities, so no dog policy applies specifically to the tower itself.
Note from SitnStay: No pet or dog policy specific to the lighthouse or this stretch of beach was found in available sources — confirm locally before visiting with a dog.
